SKELETOR CONQUERS THE GATEKEEPER, CLAIMS THE BINDING CRYSTAL

THE GRAND COLOSSEUM — The balance between the Magic Realm and the Non-Magic Realm has been shattered.

In a battle that may forever change the International Wrestling League, Skeletor defeated the Gatekeeper and seized control of the mysterious Binding Crystal, an ancient artifact capable of determining whether magic can exist within an entire area.

But Skeletor did not simply steal the crystal.

The crystal chose him.

THE ATTACK ON THE PORTALS

The assault began without warning.

The Gatekeeper stood between the great portals as he had for countless ages, maintaining the boundary between realms. Then dozens of dark figures emerged from the shadows surrounding the Portal Gate.

They were Skeletor's minions.

While the Gatekeeper prepared to defend the portals, the minions launched their true mission. Several slipped into the inner chamber beneath the Portal Gate, where the Binding Crystal had remained protected since the earliest age of the Grand Colosseum.

The crystal possesses an extraordinary power.

When bound to magic, supernatural abilities can flow freely through an area.

When bound against magic, those same powers are completely suppressed.

Wizards become ordinary warriors.

Enchanted weapons become ordinary steel.

Creatures dependent upon magical energy can lose their greatest abilities.

Whoever commands the Binding Crystal can essentially decide where magic exists and where it does not.

And Skeletor wanted that power.

SKELETOR VS. THE GATEKEEPER

The Gatekeeper confronted Skeletor personally.

Purple energy erupted around the Portal Gate as the two exchanged attacks. The Gatekeeper used his ancient staff to manipulate the portals themselves, repeatedly opening gateways around Skeletor and attempting to trap him between dimensions.

For several moments, it appeared the guardian might succeed.

Then Skeletor realized something.

The Gatekeeper was dividing his concentration between fighting Skeletor and stabilizing the portals.

Skeletor attacked relentlessly.

The Gatekeeper blasted him backward with a wave of portal energy, but Skeletor rose again. A second blast cracked Skeletor's armor. A third nearly drove him through the Magic Realm portal.

Skeletor refused to fall.

Finally, Skeletor caught the Gatekeeper's staff.

The two struggled over it until Skeletor drove his armored knee into the Gatekeeper's chest, ripped the staff from his hands and struck the guardian with his own weapon.

The Gatekeeper collapsed.

For the first time in recorded history, the portals stood without their guardian.

THE BINDING CRYSTAL IS STOLEN

At that exact moment, Skeletor's minions emerged from the inner chamber carrying the Binding Crystal.

But something was wrong.

The crystal began violently pulsing.

Purple energy ripped across the chamber.

Ancient symbols surrounding the artifact disappeared one after another.

The crystal was unbinding itself.

Even Skeletor's minions backed away.

The Binding Crystal rose into the air and floated toward Skeletor.

The defeated Gatekeeper looked up from the ground and reportedly whispered:

"No... it cannot choose you."

The crystal stopped directly before Skeletor.

Then everything exploded in purple light.

When the light disappeared, the crystal was embedded within Skeletor's armor.

The Binding Crystal had bound itself to Skeletor.

SKELETOR NOW CONTROLS MAGIC

Skeletor immediately tested his new power.

He raised one hand.

The magical energy surrounding the Portal Gate vanished.

Torches fueled by sorcery went dark. Enchanted weapons lost their glow. Magical creatures suddenly found themselves unable to summon their powers.

Skeletor closed his fist again.

The magic returned.

The horrifying truth became clear.

Skeletor can now bind or eliminate magic around him through the Binding Crystal.

That gives him an enormous advantage against both sides of the Grand Colosseum.

Against magical opponents, Skeletor can potentially strip away their powers.

Against non-magical opponents, he can restore magic and unleash his own supernatural abilities.

The battlefield can now change according to Skeletor's will.

THE PORTALS HAVE A NEW MASTER

Standing over the defeated Gatekeeper, Skeletor turned toward the two great portals.

One led toward worlds overflowing with sorcery.

The other led toward worlds where strength, technology, creatures and steel ruled without magic.

Skeletor raised the glowing Binding Crystal.

Both portals responded.

For the first time, they answered to someone other than the Gatekeeper.

Skeletor laughed as his minions surrounded their fallen enemy.

Then came his declaration:

"The Gatekeeper guarded the portals. I will rule them."

The implications are staggering.

With access to the portals, Skeletor can reach countless realms. With the Binding Crystal, he may be able to decide whether those realms retain their magic once he arrives.

And somewhere within the Grand Colosseum, one question now hangs over every warrior, creature and champion:

Who can stop Skeletor when Skeletor controls the rules of reality itself?

Skeletor has stolen the crystal and we have a brand new age!   THE AGE OF SKELETOR!   He has gone into the portals and chosen generals for his army of minions.  What will happen now?    Only TIME will tell...hahahahaha
